The Vale of Sussex Society

The Vale of Sussex Society (formerly known as the Bevern Stream Line Village Initiative) is a group of villages that lie at the foot of the South Downs overlooking the Vale of Sussex. They are united by the Bevern stream, which rises at the foot of the Downs and flows to the River Ouse at Barcombe. This is a landscape of small hedged fields and ancient woods, rich in wildlife and historic sites.

With quiet lanes, well maintained public paths linked to the South Downs Way National Trail and a network of licensed paths, this part of the Vale of Sussex has the potential to become a mecca for horse riders, walkers and cyclists.
